EFS Europe Kicks Off 2015 with London Movie Premiere

EFS Europe played its part in the launch of one of 2015’s biggest movies. Kingsman: The Secret Service - starring Colin Firth – got its UK premiere this month with a star studded red-carpet event that also featured a live performance by Take That. Production for the premiere was overseen by AD Events, who called upon EFS Europe to supply and install 960m² of Hex-Road™ and 745m² of Temp-A-Path™. The products were used to protect the grassed areas of London’s famous Leicester Square, with the Hex-Road™ creating vehicular access for several big-screen trucks that were used to relay live video of the red carpet. Working from 6am on Monday 12th January, the EFS Europe installation team’s first task was to lay a geo-membrane that would protect the grass and improve recovery time post-event. The Hex-Road™ and Temp-A-Path™ was then installed on top. Several temporary structures – including fully carpeted raised walkways – were then erected on top of the Temp-A-Path™, creating interview areas and broadcast positions. With the event done and dusted by 7:30pm on Wednesday 14th January, the EFS Europe team set about removing all the material by midnight, returning the square to its normal state. Commenting on the project, EFS Europe Business Development Manager Jeremy Simpson said: “This was a great way to kick off 2015. The project was in the heart of London’s theatreland and gave us a great way to showcase two of our leading products.”
